New budget release shows President Biden requests $5 billion over 10 years and $1.625 billion in FY2025 in election assistance grants

Since 2019, Stand Up America’s volunteers have made over 375,000 constituent calls and sent nearly 15,000 emails to legislators in support of election funding and infrastructure

WASHINGTON – Stand Up America’s Senior Associate of Policy & Political Affairs, Sunwoo Oh, commented on the latest request from the Biden Administration for election assistance grants: 

“Election funding is critical to ensuring every voice is heard and every eligible vote counted. It’s long past time that Congress invest in America’s election infrastructure to give states and localities the consistent resources they need to keep our elections, and those who administer them, safe and secure.

“We thank the Biden Administration for prioritizing election funding and infrastructure in its FY25 budget. As the November elections rapidly approach, congressional leaders must follow the president’s lead and commit to provide the funding needed to safeguard our democracy.”
