CONCORD—Today, the New Hampshire House of Representatives advanced SB 70, legislation to make elections more secure, efficient, and cost-effective, and reduce lines for same-day registration on Election Day.

Since the start of session, Stand Up America’s members in New Hampshire have sent more than 350 emails to lawmakers encouraging them to pass SB 70.

Stand Up America’s Director of Political Affairs, Reggie Thedford, commented on the passage:

“Today’s passage is a huge win for the freedom to vote in the Granite State. New Hampshirites deserve a democracy that works for everyone, whether they are hardworking Americans who don’t have enough hours in the day to register to vote, young people away at college, or seniors who can’t vote in person.

“We’re thankful for all the lawmakers, on both sides of the aisle, who have pushed this critical legislation and for their continued commitment to protecting the freedom to vote in the Granite State.”
