Reggie Thedford

Deputy Political Director

Reggie Thedford is a passionate and dedicated political strategist serving as the Deputy Political Director for Stand Up America. He works directly with our Managing Director of Policy & Political Affairs in partnership and coalition building and organizational political strategy.

Prior to joining Stand Up America, Reggie worked as a policy consultant and lobbyist for mission-driven organizations such as Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin and Together Wisconsin. Reggie is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, which is where his passion for democracy reform was enhanced – especially on felony disenfranchisement. In law school, he published an article in the Indiana Journal of Law & Social Equality entitled, “Ex-Felon Disenfranchisement and the Fifteenth Amendment: A Constitutional Challenge to Post-Sentence Disenfranchisement.”

He continues to illustrate his passion for ending felony disenfranchisement while at Stand Up America. Reggie served as moderator for a 2021 Netroots Panel “Ending Felony Disenfranchisement to Strengthen Our Democracy,” which was in collaboration with The Sentencing Project.
