Daniel Davis

Social Media Strategist

Dan is currently a Social Media Strategist at Stand Up America and believes that a better world is possible. His primary focus is creating engaging, cross-platform content for social media that informs audiences and drives them into action. He also spends too much time figuring out which new memes are worth using.

Over the past decade, Dan has taken on various social media, digital production, and editorial roles primarily in the comedy industry. Prior to joining Stand Up America, he oversaw digital video production and social media content for the award-winning Netflix comedy show, “Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj.” Before that, he was on staff at the satirical media publication The Onion and its sister website ClickHole. Dan has also done communications consulting with nonprofits operating in the civic engagement space, including Pizza to the Polls and Power the Polls.

A project that Dan is proud to have worked on was the Pizza to the Polls national food truck campaign for the 2020 Election. Dan crafted promotional messaging and marketing plans to help raise millions of dollars and deliver food to nearly every state dealing with long lines at polling places during one of the most unprecedented elections in recent memory.

Dan hails from the Midwest and has lived there for most of his life. Having grown up in a union household, Dan is a supporter of people-powered movements that fight on behalf of the working class. When not focused on the work required to defend our democracy from the influence of big money, he’s either spending time with his family, walking his dog Daisy, or watching the Chicago Bulls.
