Don’t let Trump appoint more judges
It’s all over the news.
As Donald Trump tries to dismantle everything that is good about America, from our social safety nets to our civil liberties, federal judges across the country are blocking his plans left and right. In return, Trump is attacking them—calling them “rogue” and demanding Congress impeach them.
Federal judges are standing up to Trump and saying no to his destructive plans. But Republicans in Congress want to change that by helping Trump stack the courts with judges who will say yes to his attempts to cut essential services and take away our freedoms.
The JUDGES Act would hand Trump 22 new district judges, allowing him to stack the courts with loyalists who will rubber-stamp his extreme agenda and protect him from legal accountability.
Here’s the truth of the matter: Democrats who are brand new to Congress are experiencing an overwhelming start to their new roles. They may not even know just how dangerous the JUDGES Act is.
Some Democrats are feeling pressure to vote yes in order to lighten the caseload of judges in their states. But if Trump gets the chance to appoint more judges, he’s only going to nominate people who will be loyal to him and his billionaire donors—not people like us.

Congressional Democrats must hold the line and vote NO on the JUDGES Act. We may not be able to defeat the bill in the House of Representatives, but if we can make sure it passes with no Democratic support, it will be much easier to ensure that Democrats hold the line in the Senate and stop it from becoming law.
