Stand Up America Condemns AZ Supreme Court Decision to Block Free and Fair Elections Ballot Initiative

PHOENIX, AZ — Today, the Arizona Supreme Court sided with opponents of the effort to get the Fair and Free Elections Act on November’s ballot. The decision, which was supported by Governor Doug Ducey and Republican legislative leadership, invalidated the signatures of hundreds of thousands of Arizonans.

Stand Up America’s Executive Director, Christina Harvey, issued the following response:

“With today’s decision, the Ducey-stacked Arizona Supreme Court is rewriting the rules in the middle of the game to deny Arizonans this opportunity to strengthen their elections and freedom to vote. Arizonans will nonetheless make their voices heard this November, and politicians in the mold of Governor Ducey should prepare themselves for the consequences.”
