Stand Up America: Court Affirms Trump Not Above The Law, Must Provide Manhattan DA Taxes

Following news that a federal judge ordered Donald Trump to hand over his tax returns to the Manhattan District Attorney, Stand Up America spokesperson Ryan Thomas issued the following statement:

“Despite his best efforts to stymie this investigation into his criminal wrongdoing, this decision affirms that Donald Trump is not above the law.

“However, it’s incredibly telling that Trump doesn’t want congressional and criminal investigators to see what he’s hiding in his tax returns.

“As the indictments, convictions, and guilty pleas of his top aides Steve Bannon, Paul Manafort, Michael Flynn, George Papadopoulos, Michael Cohen, Rick Gates, and others show, Trump’s taxes will likely offer yet one more proof point that Trumpism is just another word for criminality and corruption.”
