Response To Trump Tweet: If Voting By Mail Is Good Enough For Trump, It’s Good Enough For Every American

Following Donald Trump’s false claims about mail-in voting during his speech at the Republican National Convention last night and in response to his tweet this morning once again lying about voting by mail, Stand Up America Managing Director Christina Harvey issued the following statement:

“Let’s be clear: The utterly false attacks and debunked conspiracy theories being peddled by Donald Trump and Republican officials are an attempt to suppress the vote.

“This kind of blatant hypocrisy from a man who votes by mail himself is clearly an attempt to undermine the legitimacy of the election for his own gain—and it’s certainly not the behavior of a man who thinks he can win fairly.

“If voting by mail is good enough for Trump, it’s good enough for every American. Congress must ignore these lies, fund our elections, and protect the right to vote from Trump’s reckless attacks.”
