NEW YORK — Following the passage of legislation in both the Massachusetts House and Senate to expand early voting options and mail all registered voters in the state an absentee ballot application, Stand Up America Political Director Brett Edkins released the following statement:
“We commend Massachusetts state legislators on the passage of H4820, a bill that will ensure no voter in the state is forced to choose between protecting their health and exercising their right to vote this November.
“This bill not only ensures that every registered voter in Massachusetts receives a mail-in ballot application, but also allows voters to request and track their ballots online and increases early voting hours to safeguard the public’s health.
“This legislation should serve as a marker for other states to ensure that voters are safe and voting remains accessible as the country recovers from this ongoing national crisis.”
