NEW YORK — Following reports that voters and poll workers contracted coronavirus after Wisconsin’s election, Stand Up America Founder and President Sean Eldridge released the following statement:
“It is unacceptable that Wisconsin Republicans and a partisan Supreme Court forced voters to risk their health to cast their ballots. This was entirely preventable, but now Wisconsinites are paying a real price for the reckless disregard for their safety.
“If Congress fails to provide states funding for vote-by-mail and other election assistance, then what we’re seeing in Wisconsin right now could be the tip of the iceberg.”
